New Life
Well, I do believe that God was having a little fun with me placing this scene in my driveway coming home from buying my new telephoto lens! I scrambled like mad getting it out of the case and onto my camera, the whole while fighting with the dog to stay on her seat!! But Mom and baby waited for me. :) I have to say this new lens has great stability! LOL!

Some of my work for a commercial client.
I have had the great opportunity to be photographer of some very beautiful high end homes for a client. Rick Couture, owner, designer/builder, of Rick Couture Construction, has been in business for over 30 years, serving the Campbell River B.C. and surrounding areas. His work is meticulous, and it shows in the beauty of all the homes he has created. For more information on homes he has for sale, or if you have your own custom ideas, kindly email him at rickcouture_2000@yahoo.com

This heard of Elk came for a late night visit to my home and ended up bedding down in the tall trees. They left about 9 the next morning. I counted 7 but there could have been more. The bull was a 3 by 4 point. So nice to live so close with nature.
The past summer brought a huge black bear that fed on the blackberry bushes and pear trees daily for about a month straight. He even lied down in the driveway to rest for a bit before carrying on to the next place. I will post some photos of him. One of the photos ended up in the Mirror Newspaper, thanks to my good friend Chritstine Scott who has the Island Wild column. :)
The deer here are plentyfull and feel right at home. I am also in the path of the geese, who fly over about 4 times a day back and forth from ocean to swamps.
I am staying up late tonight, hoping the Elk will return for more portrait shots. :)
Have a great evening,
Karalyn

The fog the last few days has been amazing for photographs. I'm like a little girl in the morning getting all excited like it is Christmas time, gathering all my gear together to go out and find that once in a lifetime shot. Sometimes I am in such a rush that I forget my gloves and my teddybear earmuffs, and end up with frozen fingers and an ear ache! But after I see my photos, I know it was worth it. :)
Enjoy,
Karalyn
